.: Rainer Schuettler ... Rainer Schüttler :.

This is a Rainer Schuettler appreciation page. If you enjoy fantastic tennis, you'd appreciate him too.
To get started - Rainer is pronounced RHINE-er not ray-ner and Schuettler is pronounced SHOOT-ler not shut-ler. He is an accomplished Top 10 player who has played in Davis Cup as well as two Olympic Games (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 Silver Medalist) for Germany.

Off Season

Thursday 27 November

Here are some links I've come across since Houston wrapped up. I figure that on Saturdays or Sundays I'll post anything I've come across on Rainer for the week - hopefully things on the already-around-the-corner 2004 season will start showing up. I'll also post a picture each week just for some variety. I'll add to this later in the day as well, I've got some turkey calling my name right now however. This is my favorite meal of all-time - I have left-overs for dinner for at least four nights! My sister called this morning, it was good to hear from her. She's working in Mosul and they had some turkey there - the southern boys from the 101st deep fried the birds. Apparently they had 2 days of rain there this week, which is unheard of.

Super Set Tennis is on TV right now and I think that the few minutes I've seen is pretty awful - no, make that downright awful. Not the actual playing of the tennis, but the atmosphere around it - it's on the verge of WWF/WWE and I pray that tennis and TV people don't think this is the actual future of promoting the game.

This was on Fila.com's main website the week after Houston, now it's skiing... but Rainer had some well-deserved top-billing for awhile.
